1. Who we are
Yantra Applied Technologies Limited ("Yantra", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16622839), with its registered office at 20 Eastbourne Terrace, Fora, London, England, W2 6LG. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Yantra is the controller of the personal data described here.
This policy covers the personal data we collect through our website at https://www.yantratech.com (the "Site"); product data handling is described in the applicable client agreement. Questions: security@yantratech.com.
2. The personal data we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum:
- Enquiry data — if you use our "Book a demo" option, your name and work email, and optionally your company and message.
- Technical data — our web server may briefly process your IP address, browser and device type to deliver and secure the Site. We measure Site usage with privacy-focused, cookieless analytics that do not collect personal data (see section 9).
Providing your details is voluntary, although we may not be able to respond to you without them. We do not collect special category data, the Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
3. How and why we use your data
| What we use it for | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and following up | Legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract |
| Operating, securing and improving the Site, including cookieless analytics | Legitimate interests |
| Sending marketing to people who have opted in | Consent (you can withdraw any time) |
| Meeting legal and regulatory obligations | Legal obligation |
4. Marketing
We only send marketing — such as product updates or a newsletter — to people who have actively opted in, and we treat that consent as separate from any enquiry or service. We will not add you to a marketing list simply because you contacted us or requested a demo. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or emailing security@yantratech.com; you can also withdraw your consent at any time.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run our business — currently Google Workspace (business email and productivity). We host the Site on our own infrastructure, so visitor data is not shared with a third-party hosting provider. We will update this section if our providers change. We may also disclose data where required by law, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of our business.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the UK (for example, in the United States). Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on an appropriate safeguard — such as UK 'adequacy' regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request details of the safeguard we rely on by emailing security@yantratech.com.
7. How long we keep your data
- Enquiry data — up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Analytics data — aggregated, cookieless, and not tied to you as an individual.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time (where we rely on consent). To exercise any of these, email security@yantratech.com — we will respond within one month, and may need to verify your identity first. We rely on you to keep the details you give us accurate and up to date — please let us know at security@yantratech.com if they change. We will correct or complete your data promptly on request.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113, though we'd appreciate the chance to resolve things first.
9. Cookies and analytics
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. To understand how the Site is used — for example, which pages are most popular — we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites or devices. Because we set no non-essential cookies, we do not show a cookie consent banner. If the Site sets any strictly necessary cookies (for example, to keep the Site secure or working), these do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
10. How we protect your data
We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and a documented security programme. To report a security issue, see our Responsible Disclosure policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least annually and whenever our practices change. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. We monitor compliance with this policy internally and take complaints seriously.
