1. Who we are
Yantra Applied Technologies Limited ("Yantra", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16622839), with its registered office at 20 Eastbourne Terrace, Fora, London, England, W2 6LG. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Yantra is the controller of the personal data described here.
This policy covers the personal data we collect through our website at https://www.yantratech.com(the "Site"). Questions: security@yantratech.com.
2. The personal data we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum:
- Enquiry data— if you use our "Book a demo" option, your name and work email, and optionally your company and message.
- Newsletter data — if you subscribe to our mailing list, your email address.
- Technical data — our servers and cookies may record your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view (see section 9, Cookies).
Providing your details is voluntary, although we may not be able to respond to you without them. We do not collect special category data, the Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
3. How and why we use your data
| What we use it for | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and following up | Legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract |
| Sending our newsletter or marketing emails | Consent (you can withdraw any time) |
| Operating, securing and improving the Site | Legitimate interests |
| Setting analytics / non-essential cookies | Consent (via the cookie banner) |
| Meeting legal and regulatory obligations | Legal obligation |
4. Marketing
If you opt in, we will send you marketing about Yantra's products and updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out any time by using it or emailing security@yantratech.com. We use a third-party email-marketing provider to manage our mailing list.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run our business — specifically the provider of our business email and the partner that runs our mailing list, CRM and email marketing — under contracts that require them to protect it and act only on our instructions. We host the Site on our own infrastructure, so visitor data is not shared with a third-party hosting provider. We can tell you the current providers on request. We may also disclose data where required by law, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of our business.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the UK (for example, in the United States). Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on an appropriate safeguard — such as UK 'adequacy' regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep your data
- Enquiry data — up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Newsletter data — until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days.
- Cookie data — for the durations described in section 9.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time (where we rely on consent). To exercise any of these, email security@yantratech.com — we will respond within one month, and may need to verify your identity first.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.ukor 0303 123 1113, though we'd appreciate the chance to resolve things first.
9. Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a site. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we only set non-essential cookies after you consent; strictly necessary cookies don't need consent.
- Strictly necessary — needed for the Site to function and to remember your cookie choice. No consent required.
- Analytics — with your consent, we use analytics cookies to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the Site (for example, which pages are most popular). These are only set after you opt in via our cookie banner, where you can review the specific cookies and withdraw consent at any time.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through our cookie settings, and you can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
10. How we protect your data
We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and a documented security programme. To report a security issue, see our Responsible Disclosure policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least annually and whenever our practices change. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
